Get To Know The Village TutorsMotivated by their own children’s struggles, The Village Tutors was formed in 2004 when a group of women, formerly known as The Reading Ladies, began to provide one-on-one, evidence-based, Orton-Gillingham based support for grade-school students who struggled in reading. As these early students became middle school and high school students and their needs changed, the tutors expanded their services.
Today, The Village Tutors instruct and inspire all learners, along with full academic support in the areas of active and critical reading skills; analytical and academic writing; study strategies; executive functioning/homework help; all levels of math and science; academic enrichment; AP/Honors/College Prep curricula; college essay writing and general college consulting and home-school/online coursework. We have extensive experience with standardized test prep- ISEE, SSAT, Catholic High School Entrance Exam, ACT/ SAT and GRE. |

The Village Tutors are not a franchise, nor do we use a "one size fits all" approach. Families are matched with the tutor that provides the best support for that particular student.
