The Village Tutors provide flexible, compassionate support for students with learning and behavioral differences. These areas include students with dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, twice-exceptional (gifted) differences, processing challenges, non- verbal learning disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, high-functioning autism spectrum disorders, mental health struggles, and youth who at risk. .
Many of our students have IEPs, 504 plans, and professional evaluations. We are familiar with accommodations, benchmarks, and terminology. The Village Tutors are happy to talk with teachers or attend school meetings at no charge to our families. The Village Tutors focus on continuing, best-practice professional development for our tutors. Our tutors were among the first to be trained in both the Rush Medical/ Neurobehavioral Center's Executive Functions Skills Building Program © and RAVE-O© (Tufts University, Boston). |
